Public records show ownership of the home lies with an Encinitas-based limited partnership apparently set up for the express purpose of facilitating the home’s remodel and resale, though time to bring the home to market has been a bit long. The Stratford estate last sold in May of 2015 for a reported $10,250,000; the previous owners had sought a sales price as high as $13 million. Its current assessment of nearly $10.9 million carries an annual property tax bill in excess of $116,000.

After five years off-market, the new and improved Stratford was re-listed in late April carrying an asking price of $14,500,000. That price, which remains unchanged to date, is a full million dollars less than the last recorded mortgage against the home, which funded in 2017.
